I need your help. I was watching Larry King Live last night (not a normal activity – we were watching the Chapman’s interview). At the end of the broadcast, he said something that sparked a thought.
Go to CNN.com slash Larry King (one word) and let us know who you would want to see on Larry King Live.”
Instantly, I had an idea. I should be a guest on Larry King Live. Unfortunately, I’m not famous and I haven’t done anything Larry-worthy.
So that’s where you come in. I want your help in getting on Larry King Live. All I’m asking is that you go to Larry King Live’s website and click the link on the left hand side. Then, send an email requesting that I, Todd Ramsey, be a featured guest on the show. I’ve even created an email that you can copy and paste to make it super-fast and super-easy.
Dear Larry King Live,
I am writing to request that you feature Todd Ramsey on your show. It is likely that you’ve never heard of Todd Ramsey – he certainly hasn’t done anything famous or worthy of coming on your show. But he is a blogger. And a social media aficionado. And that’s how he got me to send this email.
I think your viewers would like to see him and it would be fascinating if a person got on your show simply by engaging the blogosphere and social media world.
You can read more about Todd at his blog, http://toddblog.net, you can follow him on Twitter (ToddBlog) or find him on all major social networks.
Thank you for your consideration,
YOUR NAME
(You should probably replace “YOUR NAME”, but that’s up to you, I suppose.)
Thank you so much for your support. If you do end up doing it, leave a comment below. I’d like to see how many people will help me realize my dream.

Brilliant work from the guys at JibJab.
I like the Hilary 2012 posters. Very inspirational.
JibJab does a nice job skewering both sides. Well done, per usual.

Well, things appear to be back to normal. I am experiencing some wierd sidebar issues. Sometimes it loads my K2 Sidebar Modules, sometimes it loads the widgets. Does anybody (I’m looking at you Brent) know how to turn off Wordpress Widgets?
As much as I love K2 (and I truly, truly do), I’m wondering if perhaps I should just change themes. My blog seems to break every time a new version of Wordpress comes out, and K2’s feature set is so expansive that there are bound to be issues. We’ll see. I don’t know if I have the time, energy or ability to start over.
At the very least, I would like to update my sidebar. I’m just not happy with the way things look over there. Does anybody have any suggestions?
Let me know if you see anything wonky happening with the blog today.

I’m contemplating starting to ride a bicycle to work. I live about 1.4 miles from my office. There is an infrequently used shower at my office. I’m stupidly out of shape. I can’t afford a Vespa. I just spent $50 filling up my car. I sometimes find myself caring about the environment.
Those realities have come together to shape my thoughts about this subject. Unfortunately, I’m completely ignorant of the bicycle world. A brief investigation has opened my eyes to the numerous options available to me. Road bikes. Mountain bikes. Comfort bikes. Used bikes. New bikes.
So I’m turning to you blog-friends. I need your help.
- How much should I spend? I don’t want a huge investment as I might ultimately hate riding a bike to work.
- What type of bike should I be looking at?
- Is this a stupid idea? Either because it’s dangerous or too cumbersome with my job or some other reason I’ve never thought of.
- Anything else I should be considering?
Thanks in advance for the help!

This weekend, Hayley and I took a couple of kids to see Wall-E, Pixar’s latest film. Here’s my review. (I’m using the “Ramsey Movie Criteria.”)
Content
Wall-E tells the story of a trash-collecting-then-compacting little robot in the distant future. From all appearances, Wall-E is alone, the last of the trash-bots. Eventually, another robot comes to earth with a specific, classified directive. This robot, named EVE, is far more advanced that Wall-E, but they do develop a sweet little romance that drives the movie forward.
The robot love story is incredibly charming and very sweet and is the main plot of the film. But there’s also the sub-story of the humans and their current standard of living that helps frame the romance. I thought this part of the movie was a little – OK, a lot – heavy-handed, but it was still enjoyable.
The movie is rated G.
Performance
This is a little tricky to do with an animated film, but all of the voice performances were very strong. The weakest part of the movie was actually delivered by one of my favorite actors, Fred Willard. It kind of felt like he phoned in his performance for this one. Ah well.
Artistic Value
Absou-frickin-lutely beautiful.
Outcome
Hayley and I both enjoyed this movie. Even though there was very little dialog, it was sweet, well done and entertaining throughout. We left feeling quite happy.
Pixar’s team consistently delivers masterpieces. It’s unbelievable how amazing they are. And Wall-E ranks up there as one of their finest. You must see this movie.
Rating:
I give this movie 5 out of 5 stars.

After a lot of love, attention and tweaking, phase one of GretemanGroup.com is officially live.
Featuring our updated brand, a new portfolio and our very own blog, the site is refreshed, easy to navigate and provides more opportunity for interaction. While we’re still ironing out some minor issues and planning to add more features in the future, the site is live and it is good. At least I think so.
So go check it out.
Let me know what you think!
Have a great holiday weekend.
