Brent, I hear ya. I don't have the type of personality to go down with the sinking ship, but it seems I have a tough time sticking with even good, noble ideas once I've committed to them. And I'm TERRIBLE at saying "no," so the margins and the finish what I start definitely go hand-in-hand.

As for the books, it will be a huge jump from last year, but not from my previous life. I've allowed myself to become absorbed by video games and spend almost all my free time there. My hope is to transfer some of that time and energy into a more worthwhile pursuit and finish two books a month. We'll see how that goes.

Great list, though I question a couple (maybe...). I've found that I'm healthier when I give myself permission to abandon bad ideas rather than sticking to them and finishing them. Sure, it would be better to know it was a bad idea up front and not start it, but that doesn't seem to be reality for me.

Going from three to twenty-four books is going to be a huge jump. Wow! I've found that reading becomes a habit, though. I went years without reading much; now I read quite a bit. The more I travel, the more I read.

The rest of your resolutions tend to fall into the "do less to do more" arena. Prioritize what you want to do and stop doing all the other junk. It's hard to do, because it means saying no.

I like the margins idea. I'm looking forward to reading your post on that.
