I do not know if his blog post is intended to be sarcastic or serious. If sarcastic, the jeering and taunting of this post is unjustified, hurtful and a misguided attack on hundreds of people serving Christ in a myraid of ways. If the post is serious, then Shaun needs to spend several days in the Wichita, Kansas area. He needs to go (in no particular order) to the RiverWalk Church of Christ, First Baptist of Wichita, Central Christian, First Methodist of Wichita, Westlink Chrisitian and First Baptist of Augusta. At these locations he will not find empty buildings with the doors locked and lights turned off. He will find lonely, hurting, hungry people finding love, peace and food - Monday through Saturday. Every week. Every month of the year. There are some pretty special churches in Dallas, Austin, Houston and Tulsa that I know where Shaun could go see people serving with grace and quiet humility. Places where the light of Christ penetrates the darkness of this world every day. I think Shaun is wrong about American churches.
