New Direction

Hello everyone. I’ve waited to post this because I didn’t want to jeopardize my current work situation. However, after an hour-long phone conversation last night, I learned that I have been accepted to Fuller Theological Seminary, beginning this summer. I’ll be working toward a Master of Arts in Theology, with the goal of earning my doctorate in ministry. I would like to translate this education into a full-time career in ministry.

Hayley and I have been talking about this for a while now, and though it is difficult, we believe this is the right direction for us to take. In order to pay for the school (I did receive a small scholarship), I will have to be a grad assistant work as a night watchman at Fuller. This means that we will be moving to Pasadena, Cali. at the beginning of May. Hayley will likely continue her profession in the legal field or pursue her other passion, performing at Disney Land as a Disney princess.

We have a lot to do before then – sell our house, find a place to live and find Hayley a new job – but we trust everything will work out.

I’ll keep you updated as we have new information. Until then, if you’re interested in buying a house in historic College Hill or know of any paralegal positions in Pasadena, let us know.

Happy Tuesday friends!

Wow! Congratulations! My parents both graduated from Fuller (CO branch) a few years ago and loved it.

    How exciting for you!

P.S. I’m jealous about your move to CA.

how cool! Fuller is a great school! what a great movement, bro. You got no kids, Disneyland, SoCal….just don’t become a dodger’s fan and it’ll all work out really well.

Man that’s awesome! I’d heard that religious institutions & seminaries weren’t doing nearly as well over the past several years, but I didn’t think that they’d begun stooping this low just yet. I guess you managed to hide your past involvement with such a “liberal drama group.” I’m thinking that if I can just wait a couple years, things will get so bad that maybe I can get Wheaton to just give me a free doctorate just for regularly attending church services.
