It’s back…

So, did you watch it? If not, and you’re planning on it, you might want to stop reading as I’ll be posting some not-so-minor spoilers below.

You’ve been warned.

Lost Logo

I had some pretty high expectations for tonight’s premiere. Lost has been notorious for over-promising and under-delivering in my opinion – particularly in season two. Last year’s season was pretty solid and definitely ended well.

I loved the show tonight. I feel like we learned quite a bit – we know at least three people who survived, there’s a group called the “Oceanic 6″ and Hurley “should have stayed with Jack.” However, that last point may have nothing to do with tonight’s split and they could just be throwing us for a loop.

Anyway, I’m pretty pumped about the show again. And bummed. Only seven more episodes this season. Dang writers and their desire to better themselves.

Enough gushing. What did you think?

Who’s in the freakin coffin? That’s all I want to know.
And if it’s Sawyer, I’ll cry.

Oh. And I hope they figure out a way to bring Charlie back. He was my favorite.

Loved it. (Loved season 2 also by the way). What I thought was interesting is the flash-forward seemed to be sequencially earlier than the flash-forward that ended last season. And what of Hugo seeing Jacob? Somethings got to come of that. 6 more days until the next one. Ugghh. Great show.

What an amazing show! I posted on my overall thoughts over on my blog. All I have to say is that Charlie better actually be dead. He’s the worst!

I missed out on watching the first 3 seasons as they happened but I caught up by watching the whole series to date last week(thanks writer’s strike and the flu). As someone who took his fair share of delight in ridiculing the show and its supporters (and, lets be honest, from the point of view of just watching the commercials it can look rather ridiculous), I must say one thing; wow was I wrong. The show is great. I tend to have a different take on the characters than most I’ve talked to (I hate Jack soooo much), but few shows have the potential for as much interesting conversation as this does. So to any who have felt the sharpened ends of my Lost-related arrows, I apologize.

Concerning last night’s episode, I would say that it was a strong to quite strong way to start the year. It seems like a central recurring theme of the rest of the show’s run is going to be the collapse of Jack as a heroic figure (something I would welcome). I’m so used to watching these at my leisure that I’m not sure how I’m going to manage the week between episodes. All I ask for is more Desmond and more Ben in the weeks ahead.
