Both of the quotes you posted from it struck me as well. Regarding today's, why would anyone willingly compare themselves to a snake? Especially a religious group. So maybe the antivenom comes from someone with a large enough dose of the republican party to be nominated, but a large enough difference to correct some of the problems. On a side note, I don't really think that Bush is "poison." I don't agree with several things that he's done as president, but I don't think that he's as bad as the naysayers try to paint him either.
